I just wanted to apologise to anyone who has recently come across any spam comments either on my blog or via subscribing to the blog comments feed.

Over the past week or so, and particularly the last few days, I have been utterly bombarded with spam, and am trying to tweak the Spam module filters to stop any of the stuff ever getting published.

I think it would be a shame to force people to preview comments and/or use a captcha, so hopefully I can get it under control quickly.

On a brighter note, Dan suggested to me that Spam module configuration might make an interesting blog topic, and I agree. Whilst this wouldn't strictly be Drupal theming related, I think it would be nice to have one post a month or so on an important non Drupal theming area - agree or disagree?

P.S. I'm currently using the Spam module, but if anyone has a better suggestion just leave a comment (no spam please ;) ).
